I first engaged with the Howard Greenwood and Paul Jacobs in their former company, Love Work Life, when they started running online webinars at the start of the covid pandemic. These webinars were a revelation to me and have continued to be every week since the Jump Advisory Group was formed by them both, with Paul Sharpe, Dave Pye and latterly Heather Salway joining the team. Despite the fact that I have been in recruitment at G2 Legal for 20+ years and a business-owner since 2012, I have never engaged the services of a business mentor or coach, so I have never had the benefit of looking at my business from an external perspective, only from an internal and with an introspective gaze.
I am proud to say that G2 Legal has been a successful recruitment business for over two decades, but the knowledge and experience that the Jump team have brought to bear, not only for me, but all my team with the induvial mentoring sessions that Paul Jacobs in now undertaking with my senior team members, has had and is having a demonstrative and quantifiable benefit for our business.
The sage advice offered with regards to: improving business development with clients; offering candidates the best ‘customer service’ throughout the recruitment cycle and after-care service; how to maximise revenue and profits; ensuring your values and purpose are aligned not only with your employees but with those of clients and candidates; ensuring that you strive to be best in sector and relationships are strong, valued, and you are a ‘partner’ to all those you deals with; that your employees are your main asset, so ensure you treat them well and look after their mental health and wellbeing, are just some of the matters that have been covered, and if any recruitment business, like mine, has adopted even just some of their advice, then they will be better for it.
