Supporting buy-out and tripling turnover

T.T.S 24-7 was founded as a driving and logistics recruitment agency based in Linlithgow, West Lothian, specialising in the supply of both temporary and permanent staff to the transport and logistics industry across Scotland. Since then, they have expanded their capabilities into permanent recruitment solutions, at all levels, across the commercial sector.

TTS 24/7 has been working with Jump Advisory Group for just shy of 4 years. They struck up a partnership following an REC webinar during Covid where one of the Jump Advisors was a regular panellist supporting recruitment businesses through particularly challenging times. Nicola Hardy, Owner of TTS 24/7 says;

Within 5 minutes I knew that I needed Jump in my life.

Following an initial introductory meeting, it was clear that whilst TTS 24/7 required support, the brief was largely open and needed Jump Advisory to support Nicola define what success looked like before structuring a plan to support growth.

It was all new to me, so I didn’t really have any expectations. I was just excited to have some support initially, as I felt a little lost when I first met Jump Advisory.

After multiple discovery meetings to determine Nicola’s ambition for TTS 24/7, Jump Advisory outlined an adaptable and scalable road map, with the support of Jump, to realise success across two key areas. Growth and profitability and partner buy-out.

Weekly mentoring meetings were structured to reflect on previous weeks and outlining a plan for each month ahead. These included staff, operations and business needs. These were then defined by priority with key milestones set to achieve overall results.

Paul gives me support and guidance in all areas and suggests how to achieve my goal and targets. He encourages at every hurdle and gives me confidence like I have never had to succeed.

Standout turning points.

Throughout the mentoring sessions during Nicola’s journey, we asked her if there were any stand out moments or experiences.

The coaching sessions leading to, and during, the company buy out. I would never have achieved this without Jump at my side, every step of the way. They gave me the confidence the guidance and the support to achieve this dream!

Value and impact.

On describing the value and impact of working with a coach and mentor when running a business, here is what Nicola had to say of her experience.

Prior to meeting Jump, my business was stagnant. Since our mentoring began, it has excelled in all areas and to be honest I only really feel like a business owner since I met them. I have retrained myself, developed so many key skills, have more confidence that I have ever had in my ability, and my business has grown from strength to strength every year since working with Jump.

With the support of Jump advisors, Nicola was able to triple turnover and profit. In addition, she was able to buy out her two business partners within six months of engaging Jump Advisory Group.

Jump’s partnership with TTS 24/7 has grown from strength to strength and has transcended the mentor / mentee relationship. Through welcoming Jump’s advice and support, Paul and Nicola are now firm friends. When asked if having a mentor is worthwhile when managing your own business, particularly an SME or micro-company, Nicola was an adamant yes!

Absolutely, I felt lost and very lonely before I found Jump. Now I have an incredibly talented, experienced mentor and team where I can go to for help at any time not just arranged session. This makes me feel more secure in my ability to give my team, clients and candidates the best possible experience.
